Celebrating 30 years of an Australian classic on the big screen – it's Babe Under the Stars!
Pack your picnic rug and gather your loved ones and little ones – because Horizon Festival is serving nostalgia with a side of starlight. It's been 30 years of Babe, the little pig that stole Australia’s heart, and it's time to celebrate with an unforgettable outdoor screening at Baringa Forest Park.
Kick off the afternoon with live tunes from Sunshine Coast legends Junior Burger, visit the fun farm‑animal petting zoo, then grab a bite or popcorn from local food vendors. As the sun dips and the stars rise, settle in for a heartwarming tale of courage, kindness and the pig that could.
It’s laughter, nostalgia and community spirit, wrapped in nature’s beauty. Free entry. All welcome.
This is a free, family-friendly event under the stars. Bring a picnic rug or low chair for comfort, and pack warm layers for when the evening cools. Food trucks and popcorn will be available on-site. Please note: this is a smoke-free event and no dogs or other domestic animals permitted. Suitable for all ages.
A heads up — photography and filming may take place during Horizon events for promotional use. If you’d prefer not to be in any of the shots, please chat to one of our Horizon staff on the day.
We strive to ensure our programs and events are inclusive and accessible to everyone. If you have any accessibility requirements, including Auslan Interpreters, mobility assistance, hearing support, or other accommodations, please contact our team at [email protected].
