As the sun sets on the Horizon program, don’t miss Secret Garden as your perfect weekend wind-down – a heart‑warming way to spend Mother’s Day.
The bushland and birdsong provide the perfect backdrop for live music at Maroochy Botanic Garden in Tanawha. Guests are invited to roll out a picnic rug, share food with friends, and settle in for an afternoon where music, nature and good vibes are centre stage.
Secret Garden offers a chance to relax and reconnect – with each other, with local performers, and with the landscape.
Neish
Neish is an emerging singer-songwriter from Meanjin (Brisbane), Australia. After feeling as though she didn't have a voice, Neish found solace in music and rediscovered her sound through songwriting. Influenced by folk-infused alternative artists such as Daughter and Novo Amor, she aims to captivate listeners through her raw and vulnerable lyricism and to develop a deeper connection of emotional intimacy with her audience.
Pam Hata
Pam Hata is an independent solo acoustic artist based in the Mid North Coast and Northern Rivers region of NSW. Touring full-time, Pam gets toes tapping and hands clapping, enriched by her love for her Australian stomping grounds and her vibrant Māori heritage. She brings an energy and warmth to the stage that sparks interest from the very first strum.

DIY Native Flower Arrangement Kits
Celebrate culture, creativity, and Country with Blak Botanics DIY Flower Wreath Kits. Each kit features a beautiful selection of native blooms, carefully gathered to honour the stories and resilience of our landscapes. Create your own handcrafted wreath or badge (lucky dip) and connect with the beauty of Blak botanicals. Perfect for a mindful moment or a splash of creative fun while settling into an easy afternoon at Secret Garden celebrating Mother’s Day.

Grazing Platter
Grazing platters produced by local First Nations chef Tanika Orr of Nooks and Cooks, will feature a thoughtful selection of seasonal produce, highlight bush foods, cheeses, crackers/lavosh, house-made or native-inspired accompaniments, fruit, nuts, and a small, sweet element.
The event takes place outdoors at Maroochy Botanic Garden in Tanawha, surrounded by bushland and birdsong. Please bring whatever you need to be comfortable, such as a picnic rug, chairs, hats, sunscreen and water, and feel free to bring your own picnic to enjoy during the performance. Expect a relaxed afternoon of live music in nature, the perfect Mother’s Day wind‑down. Suitable for all ages and abilities. Please leave pets at home, as domestic animals are not permitted; accredited assistance dogs are welcome.

The Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Garden is located on Palm Creek Road, Tanawha. Please note there is no public transport to the gardens. Parking is available on‑site. Entry is only via Palm Creek Road, there is no access from Wilson Road.
