Radical Hope Machine 2 creates a parallel world of radical hope, fusing fashion, tech and storytelling to create bold visions of possible futures.
Explore a place where everyone has a chance to tell their story and magical clothing speaks to its wearer, weaving memory and ideas into an exhibition trail co-created by the Sunshine Coast community. A merging of narrative, textiles and audio technology, wander through an immersive landscape in the brand-new Library+ in Caloundra to uncover local stories in the nooks and crannies between bookshelves
Radical Hope Machine 2 is sequel to Horizon 2025's Radical Hope Machine; a collective exploration of what hope looks, feels and sounds like to the Sunshine Coast community in response to the question: how to solve the world's most wicked problems?
Tales of Radical Hope Artist Talk
Go behind the scenes of Radical Hope Machine 2 in this intimate conversation with three key creators: award‑winning author Peter Carnavas, textile artist Shaye Hardisty, and multimedia artist Möbius. Together they unpack the ideas, collaborations and community‑driven processes that shaped this immersive exhibition of storytelling, textiles and sound design. Audiences are invited on a guided tour through the Library+ installation to explore how local narratives were transformed into “magical clothing” through audio technology, and future‑facing imaginings. A rare opportunity to delve into the creative engines behind this evolving world of radical hope.
