Your Local Photo Club

Your Local Photo Club is a collaborative photo exhibition showcasing the works of Sunshine Coast and Brisbane based artists.

The exhibition celebrates place and explores the motives for shooting film in today’s digital age.

This one-night-only exhibition is a reflection on the role of film photography in contemporary art — featuring a diverse range of subjects, styles, and themes. It delves into the nostalgic and tactile aspects of film photography, which evoke a sense of timelessness that is often lost in the immediacy and disposability of digital media.

Your Local Photo Club is a must-visit for those interested in the art of photography, film enthusiasts, and those seeking inspiration from the region’s vibrant creative community.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Send your submission to this email ( and include up to 150 words about why you shoot film?
  • Photos must have been developed and scanned by Your Local Film Lab.
  • Submissions close on the 15th of August.
