17 Aug - 7 Nov: Michael Cook 'Undiscovered'
The first career survey of Australian artist, Michael Cook. Over the last decade, Michael Cook has produced photo media works that interrogate the legacy of colonisation in Australia. From his reflections on the political leadership of Australia and his revisioning of colonial history; to his rethinking of assimilation and the great Australian dream, Cook has consistently made images that ask the viewer to reconsider Australia’s conflicted history and its impact on the political, social and personal of our present day.

Wed 28 Oct:  Intuitive Art Explorers
Art Explorers is a weekly art class for children, hosted by Chony a QCT registered Visual Arts Teacher. Intuitive, artistic self expression benefits the 'whole' child, supporting curiosity, creative & innovative thinking and communication. Especially when the child is encouraged and nurtured to free flow with their creativity. 

Fri 30 Oct: WAAX ‘Big Grief’ Australia Tour Maroochydore
Brisbane quintet Waax have been making lots of compelling noise of late. Signing with Australian indie heavyweight Dew Process and featuring heavily on the nation’s airwaves they’ve been winning hearts and selling out national tours in the process. Supporting the likes of big time internationals Wolf Alice, Fall Out Boy and Biffy Clyro, the band have also been making sizable waves on the festival circuit with standout sets at Splendour In The Grass, Falls Festival, Good Things and Unify Gathering, not to mention a growing collection of local music awards and it’s clear to see the band’s trajectory is on a  stratospheric rise. 

Fri 30 Oct: Battle of the Buskers
The prestigious 'Battle of the Buskers' officially kicks off the festival of events at NightQuarter on Friday 30th October. With previous winners including international megastar Tones And I and one man band Chev Wilson, you are guaranteed a night of mind blowing entertainment! The top festival singer-songwriters will go guitar to banjo and battle it out for the 'Totally Talented' title and a career changing prize package. Finalists to be announced closer to the event date and early bird ticket purchases are recommended so you don't miss out!

Sat 31 Oct - Sun 15 Nov: Sculpture on the Edge
Sculpture On The Edge is an outdoor site-specific annual sculpture prize held in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Open to artists across Australia, offering $6,500 in prize money, the exhibition is set amongst the stunning natural setting at Spicers Tamarind Retreat, Maleny from October 31 - November 15, 2020.

Sun 1 Nov: StrEATside at The Met
A new weekly street food market in the heart of the new Maroochydore City Centre, every Sunday 11am-8pm. Enjoy delicious food from 20 street food vendors, sip on craft beer and cocktails (from Your Mates Brewing Co.) and wine, watch 6 hours of live music, play lawn games and relax under the shade of umbrellas in a family-friendly atmosphere. Like a Sunday ‘picnic in the park’ … but you don’t have to bring anything!

Wed 4 Nov: Circular Collective
The Mooloolaba TAFE Queensland community are invited to Circular Collective, an event where they can enjoy international street food and local entertainment while exploring the pre-loved, repurposed and upcycled goods on offer. Bring along goods to swap or sell: from fresh produce to new or old garments, games, furniture, plants, or anything else you may no longer need that someone else can reclaim and revive! Circular Collective is a community-based market focused around a circular economy: the idea of maximising the value of goods and resources by keeping them in circulation with re-use and recycling practices. It’s all about exchanging the typical cycle of make, use and disposal in favour of reusing and recycling to maximise the value of materials and resources and minimise landfill.

Fri 6 Nov - Sun 8 Nov: NightQuarter Opening Weekend
A kaleidoscope of colour and flavour, the precinct is home to 40 shipping container based stallholders serving up global eats, desserts, drinks and speciality retailers. Every Friday and Saturday night from 4pm-10pm, the space will come alive with live music across five stages, immersive performances, street art, bars and vintage amusement rides.

Ever wanted to try something new, to challenge yourself? Whether you are an accomplished artist or new to the art scene, this new monthly life-drawing session is welcoming of all. Life drawing explores the theme of strengths and vulnerabilities and is definitely something to try at least once, you may discover previously unknown artistic talent or build on those that are already recognised.

Joining forces with Reconnect Festival in partnership with NightQuarter and USC School of Creative Industries, The Bunker Spoken Word will present its signature end of year showcase event WORDS COLLIDE featuring the best of spoken word in the region. Featuring four quality spoken word performers and a bunch of emerging student poets, this is as good as spoken word gets.

Sat 7 Nov: Reconnect Festival
Reconnect Festival is a collaborative project between NightQuarter and the University of the Sunshine Coast’s School of Creative Industries. After a year of social isolation, reconnect and explore works created in lockdown by some of the Sunshine Coast’s most dynamic young creatives. Speakers, creative artists, local and regional leaders will address and entertain the public in a one-day pop-up event showcasing student work from USC’s School of Creative Industries.

Sat 7 Nov: Wine & Ceramics Workshop
In this workshop for beginners you will learn to create a novelty dish from clay which you will then come back to custom glaze in the second session. Relax and forget about your worries with our wine and ceramics workshop over 2 sessions: Saturday November 7th & Saturday 21st 6-7:30pm.
