May–June: Connecting Stories (all over the Sunshine Coast)
Immerse yourself in First Nations art and culture through art exhibitions, public art trails, cultural tours, creative workshops and events across South East Queensland North region during May and June. Check out the full run-down here.

Tue 27 Apr: Connecting Stories — Full Moon Ochre Earthing with Sarah Moore (Noosa)
Exhibiting artist Sara Moore invites you to Noosa Regional Gallery to have a yarn about how she personally connects to nature through her art and cultural practices. She will touch on sharing traditional ways, connection to land and respect for country.

Wed 28 Apr: Spacey Jane at Night Quarter (Birtinya)
It’s a brand new year and Spacey Jane are gearing up to make things a little brighter by taking their debut album Sunlight on a huge tour around Australia. A second show had been added due to overwhelming demand.

Sat 1 May (Every Saturday): Streatside Market is back! (Maroochydore)
Streatside Market has relaunched this month with some exciting new additions — there's more grog, plenty of live music, and now they're trading on Saturday instead of Sunday.

Sat 1 May: The Jungle Giants at Nightquarter (Birtinya)
Nightquarter welcomes The Jungle Giants with specials guest, Hope D. It's limited capacity, so don't sleep on these.

Sat 1 May: No Scrubs: 90s + Early 00s Party (Caloundra)
Dance like it's 1996 with classics from Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, Destiny's Child, 5IVE, S Club 7. The list goes on.

Sat 1 May: Creating animal textures with Fiona Groom (Cooroy)
Join Fiona Groom and explore the world of textures. Learn a wide range of painting techniques and how to use different types of paint brushes. 

Sat 1 May: Barely Worn — Pre Loved Clothes Market (Coolum)
Head down for some quality womens, mens and kids clothes. there will be live music in the park and a sausage sizzle fundraiser.

Sat 1 + Sun 2 May: Sunshine Sounds Festival (Eumundi)
An all-ages music festival, Sunshine Sounds boasts a line-up featuring Kate Miller-Heidke, Busby Marou, Miiesha, Katie Noonan, Asha Jefferies, Sahara Beck and a host of amazing local artists including Andrea Kirwin and the Yama-Nui Social Club, The Dreggs, Band of Frequencies and more!

Sun 2 May: Ministry of Sound Classics at NightQuarter (Birtinya)
Ministry of Sound Classics is taking over NightQuarter on the Labour Day long weekend. Celebrating the golden era of dance music, it will featuring an all star line up with Stafford Brothers, Dirty South, John Course, Kid Kenobi, Groove Terminator and many more.

Sun 2 May: Vinyl Record Sale (Maroochydore)
Wax Espresso is proud to present the next instalment of the Sunshine Coast Record Fair. Bring a trolley because there will be around 30 tables of music for sale.

Sun 2 May: Jaz'n Shiraz (Mooloolaba)
Get ready for an afternoon of Cool jazz, hot blues and swinging tunes. Get in early to secure your patch of grass.

Sun 2 May: Secret Garden - Micro Music Events (Tanawha)
Join the team on the first Sunday of every month  — at Maroochy Bushland Botanic Gardens — as the Sculpture Garden plays host to performances by local and touring artists.

Sun 2 May: The Truffle Hunters Film Screening (Caloundra)
This is the second screening (due to the first selling out!). The Truffle Hunters is on the Oscars short list and it's no wonder. This is a beautiful movie about the ancient art form of searching for the white gold that is the Alba Truffle in Piedmont, Italy.

Fri 7 May: Jeff Martin - Imperial Hotel - Set in Stone Australian Tour (Eumundi)
Jeff Martin, lead singer and guitarist of the iconic Canadian band The Tea Party is heading to Eumundi for a solo gig.

Join Muses Trio for an intoxicating experience of music and wine.

Sat 8 May: Messy Play Day (Coolum)

Sat 8 May: Symphony By The Sea (Coolum)
Water-themed symphonic masterpieces by Handel, Mendelssohn, Strauss, Bizet, and Smetana.

Sat 8 May: Slack Tide by Jack Macrae (Noosa)
Local artist Jack Macrae is having his biggest solo exhibition at Thomas Surfboards, Noosa. Head down for the opening from 6-9pm.

Sun 9 May: Cotton Tree Jazz Sessions (Maroochydore)
BYO picnic and some friends for an afternoon of jazz under the cotton trees, down by the Maroochy river. Featuring The View from Madeleine’s Couch.
