5 Mar: Johanna DeMaine: the form : the function : the aesthetic
Official Exhibition Opening and Floor Talk with artist, Johanna DeMaine and Exhibition Curator, Nina Shadforth. The exhibition celebrates the career of one of the Sunshine Coast’s most accomplished ceramicists: Johanna DeMaine. This survey, covering five decades of practice, includes early functional ware, the decorative and ornamental, through to recent works incorporating new techniques and imagery that combine the influences of the Sunshine Coast and Japan.

6 Mar: In Conversation - The Juggling Act
Accomplished journalist and tv presenter, Melissa Doyle will speak about her career highlights and the juggling act women play, over a two-course lunch at the next In Conversation celebrating International Women’s Day. Each In Conversation series will feature inspirational speakers from all walks of life, who will deliver engaging in-depth conversations about real life issues in our Sunshine Coast community.

6 Mar: Nights on Ocean
Nights on Ocean returns to Ocean Street, bringing with it a smorgasbord of international street food vendors, handcrafted goods and live music.

7 Mar: Blues and Brews at The Imperial Hotel Eumundi
A night of rocking blues and tasty brews on Saturday 7 March from 5pm til late in The Brewery at the Imperial Hotel Eumundi. The killer line-up of epic bands will see The Venture, Palomino III, Marshall & The Fro and headliners Mason Rack Band hit the stage, and the Craft Beer Bar is sure to keep you and your tastebuds dancing.

7 Mar: Surf Fest - Celebrating 40 years of Women in Surf
A free family friendly event celebrating 40 years of Women in Surfing and Surf Life Saving! Come on down to Alexandra Headland Beach on March 7th to celebrate. Join Caroline Hutchinson interviewing our Surf Fest pioneers and icons. It’s all about having fun, getting involved and spreading awareness of women in surf...then and now! Free BBQ and give aways during the day.

7 Mar: Plein-air Pastel Quick and Simple
Learn how to paint with pastels plein-air in a half day session. Fully demonstrated and explained with individual help. This is open to all pastelists especially those new to plein-air or those that need the process to be demystified.

7 Mar: Jack Botts at Solbar
Jack Botts is breath of fresh air out of the Northern Rivers of NSW, creating a brand of surf folk drenched in depth and substance. His EP's ‘Summer Nights’ and 'Northern Rivers' showcase this in droves, with each release taking you on a journey through all the feelings garnered from those moments spent under the warm cover of darkness. Felipe Baldomir and Boatkeeper will be supporting on the night.

8 Mar: Vinyl Record Sale
WAX-BUILDUP is proud to present the next installment of the SUNSHINE COAST RECORD FAIR. On Sunday the 8th of March from 9am-3pm, there will be around 50 tables of music for sale! That’s around 25,000 records, CD’s and cassettes from a heap of stall holders for sale from as little as $1 each. There will be anything and everything from ABBA to ZZ TOP and every genre, you’re sure to find something awesome! 

11 Mar: Women's Adventure Film Tour - Nambour
Coming to the Sunshine Coast to celebrate Women’s Week 2020! This film tour is a collection of award-winning short films celebrating the inspiring women around us who are doing extraordinary things in the name of adventure. This year’s playlist features an all-star cast of Australian athletes including four-time World Champion cliff diver Rhiannan Iffland, climber Angie Scarth-Johnson, trail runner Jacqui Bell and many more including women in snow sports, mountaineering and mountain biking. 

11 Mar: Hinterland Farm to Fork Experience
On this local experience, we take you behind the scenes of private farms to meet local producers, hear their stories, and sample the amazing local produce of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Visit a local coffee roaster and two local farms, making a final stop at Brouhaha Brewery and Restaurant for a delicious lunch featuring local produce.

14 Mar: Hottest 100 of the Decade Party
On March 14th, Triple J's counting down the hottest 100 of the decade, so Solbar's throwing a belter of a party while they count down. We're taking a boozy stroll down memory lane, re-living 10 years festivals, gigs, singing in the shower, upsetting the neighbours - a decade of musical memories. Get ya mates together, and come smash some bevs while Solbar smash out ten years of the jays.

14 Mar: Lunch on the Water - Sum Yung Guys Takeover
All-Inclusive tickets for this massive 3 hour cruise are $150 (+ booking fee) and include a mouthwatering progressive cocktail menu from Sum Yung Guys plus some killer cocktails, new-age wines, craft beer and surpise entertainment.

14 Mar: SUPPORT 4 AUSTRALIA w/ Big Whoops, Venice On Fire, Hot Reno, Buzzing Towers
Four of southeast Queensland’s most exciting alternative rock acts will raise money for bushfire and wildlife recovery services across three shows in March. Good mates Venice on Fire, Big Whoops, Hot Reno and The Buzzing Towers hope to raise more than $1000 for both the Rural Fire Service Queensland and Warriors 4 Wildlife at special charity shows in Brisbane, Toowoomba and the Sunshine Coast.
