Now - 2 Mar: Luke John Matthew Arnold - Lightbox Exhibition @ Subtropic Studio (Caloundra)
Subtropic Studio has just launched a new lightbox exhibition, this time featuring the work of Sydney-based multi-disciplinary visual artist and illustrator, Luke John Matthew Arnold. Luke's work has a distinct style, featuring bold, colourful shapes companied by crude and sometimes political topics. You can also join Luke for his workshop 'From Page to public message' on 27 + 28 Feb.

Now -  24 Apr: Myall Creek and beyond @ USC Gallery (Sippy Downs)
A significant exhibition exploring the history and site of the 1838 Myall Creek Massacre through the work of some of Australia’s leading indigenous artists. 

Now - 14 Mar: Latest & Greatest: Sunshine Coast Art Collection recent acquisitions - a celebration of our Region's Art Collection @ Caloundra Regional Gallery (Caloundra)
This exhibition presents a vibrant display of contemporary art in a variety of media celebrating new additions to the Collection from the past two years.

Now - 14 Mar: Contemporary Wood-Carved Netsuke@ Caloundra Regional Gallery (Caloundra)
Caloundra Regional Gallery is the first gallery in Queensland to host this innovative exhibition, which presents works by contemporary carvers and artisans of the netsuke - a traditional Japanese toggle used to secure small personal items such as money pouches and inro (medicine containers), which were worn suspended from the obi (a sash worn with the traditional Japanese clothing kimono).

Wed 17 Feb - Tue 16 Mar: Daily Orchids @ The Old Ambulance Station (Nambour)
Itamar Freed and Courtney Scheu are visual and dance artists who collaborate and create work in response to place. Daily Orchids will showcase works created across two residencies, Airie - Artist in Residence in Everglades National Park, Florida, USA and the Crows Nest Chambers Island, Sunshine Coast. Through these works the artists research time, place, displacement, isolation, the wilderness and the tamed. Pictured: Itamar Freed and Courtney Scheu, Wilsonara Ardent Lover 2021, Cyanotype and Japanese Pigments on Awagami archival handmade paper, 87cm x 64cm.

Thu 18 Feb: Funny Coast Comedy x Terella Brewing present Chris Franklin and Friends (North Arm)
Brought to you by the Funny Coast Comedy legends, join us for our brand new monthly CRAFTY COMEDY SHOW with the one and only Chris Franklin. It'll be a night filled with laughs, good food and great beer. If you can't make it to Nortth arm, there's also a Caloundra event at Moffat Beach Brewing next week (see below).

Sun 21 Feb: Riverside Vibes (Mooloolaba)
An afternoon of live music river side in the beautiful Charles Clark Park, Mooloolaba. Grab your picnic rug and relax with friends and family as you enjoy original songs by our homegrown Sunny Coast artists, this month it's AYLA + Will Clift. 

Wed 24 Feb: Funny Coast Comedy x Moffat Beach Brewing present Chris Franklin and Friends (Caloundra)
After a run of sell-out shows Funny Coast Comedy are beyond excited to be teaming up with Moffat Beach Brewing Co to bring you another brilliant monthly live comedy event.

Wed 24 Feb: From the Artist Talk: online with Alison Mooney (Online)
Join Caloundra Regional Gallery for this livestreamed conversation with local artist Alison Mooney. Mooney's work explores themes of colour, movement and curiosity. An invitation for interaction through abstraction, she draws on attitudes of 'outsider art', cultural activism and sugar pop.

Fri 26 Feb: Good Chats (Caloundra)
The Sunshine Coast Creative Alliance is back for 2021 with their Good Chats Series, kicking off with an incredible event where you'll hear from artists Luke John Matthew Arnold and Shyanne Clarke. A great event made even better with FREE coffee from Seven Miles Coffee Roasters.

Join local artist Holly Milner as she shares some watercolour skills. This great workshp is suitable for beginners or returning artists wanting to find their feet again.
