Terms & Conditions
1: METHOD OF ENTRY
To enter this promotion entrants must follow the instructions provided in the promotion announcement on the online platform the promotion is held. Entry is limited to Australian residents only. Only one (1) entry is permitted by any one person. The winning entry will be awarded by Horizon Festival at random, drawing from all entries that have adhered to the ‘How to Enter’ promotion criteria.
‘How to Enter’ promotion criteria:
- Subscribe to Horizon Festival e-news database with a valid email address; or
- Be an existing subscriber to Horizon Festival e-news database.
2: DURATION OF THE PROMOTION
The ‘Horizon Festival ‘Golden Ticket’ Promotion 2021’ will be open to the public to enter via a new subscription to the e-news database from the following times:
- Starts 7:00am (7:00) Thursday 1 July 2021 and closes 2:00pm (14:00) Monday 09 August 2021 (Australian Eastern Time Zone).
All current e-news subscribers will be entered into the promotion automatically.
3: NATURE AND VALUE OF THE PRIZES
All prize values are the recommended retail value in Australian dollars and are correct at time of any collateral printing or online posting. Horizon Festival and its Partners and Sponsors take no responsibility for variations in the prize value. All prize winners will be contacted via the email address provided as part of the Horizon Festival ‘Golden Ticket’ Promotion 2021’ entry.
Please note that an email and physical address will be required to be required to receive the prizes and/or give-aways. Tickets are non-transferable or redeemable for cash, please treat tickets and vouchers as cash, Horizon Festival takes no responsibility for lost or stolen tickets or vouchers.
- Unlimited double passes to the whole Horizon Festival 2021 program of events.
- Total Value = up to $1,500
The prizes do not include transport, accommodation or spending money, all of which are the responsibility of the winner. Prize winners will be contacted via email or phone and it is the responsibility of the prize winner to then make contact with Horizon Festival within the appropriate period. The response period for prizes will be advised in the winner’s notification email.
Participants must be Australian residents and be aged 18 years old or over to be eligible to win prizes. Employees of Sunshine Coast Regional Council, their immediate families and companies associated with this promotion are ineligible to win prizes.
5: PLACE, DATE & TIME OF DRAW / JUDGING
Prize winners will be selected from valid entries received during the promotional period and the database of existing e-news subscribers, The ‘Horizon Festival ‘Golden Ticket’ Promotion’ will close at the times specified above in Section 2 of these Terms & Conditions.
The winning entry will be selected by Horizon Festival at the head office and winners will be notified within 24 hours of the specified entry closing times.
6: METHOD OF ADVISING RESULT
Prize winners will be notified via the email address used for their e-news subscription. Horizon Festival will provide contact information to the winner (a phone number and/or an email address) in order for winners to claim their prize.
7: CLAIMING OF PRIZES
Due to the date-specific nature of the pre-booked ticket prizes, the winner will have 48 hours from the time/date of notification to claim their prize. If the prize remains unclaimed after 48 hours, Horizon reserves the right to re-assign the prize if appropriate. The first winner has no claim to any prizes should they fail to claim their prize within 48 hours of notification. Other prizes, including tickets and vouchers, may have shorter periods of notice due to their nature.

9: PUBLICITY MATERIALS
It is a condition of entry that Horizon Festival and/or its partners and sponsors have the right to publicise, broadcast and communicate to the public the names, characters, likeness and voice of any entrants for any promotion or matter incidental to the Promotion. Please note this includes any and all submissions made to the ‘Horizon Festival ‘Golden Ticket’ Promotion ’. Entrants may be required by Horizon Festival to participate in any photo, recording, video and/or film session(s) (the “publicity materials”) and acknowledge that Horizon Festival has the right to use such publicity materials in any medium (including the internet and social media) and in any reasonable manner it sees fit, unless that person advises Horizon Festival at the time of entering the Promotion that he/she wishes to retain his/her anonymity. By entering the Horizon Festival ‘Golden Ticket Promotion’, the entrant warrants that the submission (and any part thereof) is their own work, or that they have any permissions necessary from the owner of the material to reproduce and distribute the work, and gives permission for Horizon Festival to publish this content through its social media, website, e-Newsletter and/or any printed materials.
10: RELEASE AND INDEMNITY
To the extent permitted by law, all entrants release from, and indemnify Horizon Festival against all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any prize(s) or participation in the Promotion including (but not limited to) loss of income, loss of opportunity, personal injury and damage to property, whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise.
11: NO CORRESPONDENCE
All decisions and actions of Horizon Festival relating to the Promotion and/or redemption of the prizes are exercised at its absolute discretion and are final. No discussions or correspondence with entrants or any other person will be entered into.

The promoter is Sunshine Coast Council (ABN 37 876 973 913) of Locked Bag 72 Sunshine Coast Mail Centre, Nambour QLD 4560.
13: LATE ENTRIES
Horizon Festival accepts no responsibility for any incorrectly submitted, incomplete, late, lost or misdirected entries or for any technical malfunction of any communications network.
