Ngamumu Pop-up Space: An inclusive gathering for mothers and babies

Ngamumu Pop Up Space is a relaxed immersive space for families with babies aged 0-2 to connect and experience through First Nations story-time, sensory play, songs and lullabies.

Ngamumu (For Mothers) is a multi-art form creative and cultural project that supports mothers, babies and their families during the first 1000 days and beyond. Exploring Indigenous parenting and cultural practices, Ngamumu creates site-specific works and resources that are intergenerational, nourishing and creative for participants.

Artists and mamas Merindi Schrieber and Lia Pa’apa’a from Ngamumu have joined us all the way from Cairns, and we invite you to spend the morning with them in the park to learn culturally relevant and accessible ways to implement arts and cultural practices into your everyday lives.

Ngamumu Pop Up Space featured artists include Natalia Mann, Ranu James, and Johannah Maza. All five artists will come together for this special morning of story time and lullabies. Live music sets with run for twenty minutes on the hour from 8am

Drop in, no bookings required
