Bunker Down, Speak Out: Heat #1
The Bunker Spoken Word Series returns in 2020 bigger and better than ever, with an online Spoken Word competition and international guest performers beamed in from across the globe.
With competition heats held through Zoom in June and July, we’re taking this opportunity to bring you the best international spoken word talent, featuring Sabrina Benaim from Toronto, Canada (Heat One), and Anthony Ananxagorou from London, UK (Heat Two).
From slam poets to bush poets and storytellers, our professional judging team will be on hand to send five finalists from each heat to the grand final in August where the Bunker Spoken Word 2020 winner will be awarded the $500 cash prize courtesy of our longstanding partners, the Imperial Hotel Eumundi.
Each heat will have 11 places available for individuals to register for the competition, the first 10 registrants will be guaranteed a place in the competition with the 11th competitor drawn randomly from all registrants after the first 10.
Join us on Zoom on Thu 18 June for Heat One, featuring the one and only Sabrina Benaim all the way from Toronto Canada.
Registration for both audiences and competitors is free via the Zoom link below.
