ABOUT BLAK SOCIAL

Blak Social is an Indigenous arts collective dreamed into existence by Alethea Beetson and Loki Liddle working across theatre, music, film and digital strategy. Alethea Beetson established Blak Social after successfully founding a renowned Indigenous youth arts organisation, Digi Youth Arts, to continue creating spaces for the sovereign-led development and presentation of Indigenous stories and connected arts practice. Since its beginnings in 2020, Blak Social has delivered productions such as Queen’s City, Blak Friday and currently holds a residency at The Tivoli through which it delivered Blak Day Out 2022 and will deliver Blak Day Out 2023 along with other music centric events.
